Southwest waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 59-52 win over the East Laurens Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-71 back in December of 2024.

Southwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Dupree, who went 7-for-11 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. What's more, Dupree also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. C.J. Howard was another key player, putting up 15 points and five assists.

Despite the loss, East Laurens still got an impressive performance from Tylan Snead, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 21 points. The contest was Snead's eighth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Rashund Washington Jr., who went 5-for-9 on his way to 15 points and eight boards.

Southwest's record now sits at 22-2. As for East Laurens, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Southwest has already played their next match, a 79-76 win against Dublin on the 15th. As for East Laurens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-55 victory against Bleckley County on the 15th.
