Softball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Ridgewood Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Royals have lost by exactly three runs.

Julissa Aguinaga made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Alexia Alonzo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ridgewood, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Larkin and Ridgewood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Larkin sees the field they'll take on Rockford Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Ridgewood, their break will end when they face Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on April 8.
