Baseball Recap: Rondout Valley Takes a Loss

Rondout Valley fell victim to Marlboro Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dukes. The Ganders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rondout Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Barcone, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Rondout Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Marlboro Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Rondout Valley will face off against Roosevelt at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Presidents will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Ganders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marlboro Central, they will challenge Pine Bush at 4:15 p.m. on the 21st.
