Geneva has gone a perfect 3-0 against Conneaut recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Geauga hit Geneva with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 13-4 to the Wolverines. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Geneva saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caidyn Siegel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Savannah Burton was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Conneaut came up short against Perry on Wednesday, falling 16-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Conneaut, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Geneva took their victory against Conneaut in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
