Recap: Faustina Academy Falcons vs. Harvest Christian Academy Saints

The Faustina Academy Falcons won against the Harvest Christian Academy Saints last Monday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Faustina Academy made off with a 65-64 victory over Harvest Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Faustina Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Faustina Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ben Nelson led the charge by scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Nelson has scored at least a third of Faustina Academy's points. CJ Agu was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Harvest Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Elijah Cleary, who scored 40 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cleary has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Andy Cumbest, who scored eight points.

Faustina Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Faustina Academy will head out on the road to face off against Flint Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Flint Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Monday. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lakewood Presbyterian at 6:30 p.m. Lakewood Presbyterian is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
