It's playoff time, and Belton-Honea Path had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Woodruff Wolverines 34-3. Fans of the Bears have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belton-Honea Path to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mj Earl, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Earl has posted since back in September. Tajeh Watson-Martin also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Belton-Honea Path was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games.
Belton-Honea Path didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jakyri Anderson and Demarion Chester. Anderson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Belton-Honea Path's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 38.2 points thus far. As for Woodruff, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.
