Volleyball Recap: Patrick Henry Find Success

Patrick Henry posted their closest win since October 23, 2024 on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts 2-1. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lauren Shanner paced Patrick Henry's offense, picking up nine kills. Shanner got some help from Natalie Rynard and her 29 assists. Rynard and Shanner didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

The victory got Patrick Henry back to even at 9-9. As for Mica Mountain, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Coincidentally, Patrick Henry and Mica Mountain will both be playing Eastlake the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Thunderbolts will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
