Volleyball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Techies vs. International Gryphons

Purdue Polytechnic was the 3-0 winner over International when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Techies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gryphons on Wednesday.

Purdue Polytechnic was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made International work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Camara Walker-Brown paced Purdue Polytechnic's offense, picking up eight kills. Walker-Brown got some help from Kaida Lovett and her 20 assists. Lovett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madalyn Osborne, racking up three apiece.

Purdue Polytechnic has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for International, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Purdue Polytechnic will look to defend their home court on Monday against Herron at 5:30 p.m. As for International, they will square off against University at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
