Soccer Recap: Pilot Point Takes a Loss

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Celina Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Bobcats are ranked 27th).

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Celina, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Looking ahead, Pilot Point will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Bonham at 7:15 p.m. As for Celina, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Celina challenge Panther Creek at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. They are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season.
