Basketball Recap: Overlake Takes a Loss

Overlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 40-33 to the South Whidbey Falcons. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 39-36 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Overlake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for South Whidbey, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overlake will take on University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Whidbey, they will challenge Northwest at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. South Whidbey is facing Northwest at the right time seeing as Northwest is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
