Softball Recap: Southwind Has No Trouble Against Overton

Southwind's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Overton Wolverines as they made off with a 12-3 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Southwind's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Overton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwind will host Craigmont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.38 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Overton, they will face off against White Station at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
