Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Bowie Bears. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bears this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-5 defeat on Saturday.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Bowie, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-17.

Looking ahead, Austin will host Irvin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowie, they will square off against Ysleta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
