Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Area Wildcats vs. Waverly/South Shore Coyotes

The Northwestern Area Wildcats and the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The timing is sure in Northwestern Area's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Waverly/South Shore has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Northwestern Area will bounce into Friday's game after beating Herreid/Selby, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Northwestern Area managed a 47-41 victory over Herreid/Selby on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Waverly/South Shore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 40-34 to Britton-Hecla.

Northwestern Area has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Waverly/South Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
