Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinewood Prep). They were the clear victors by a 24-2 margin over Palmetto Christian Academy on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Nathan Good looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Max Poulakis and Drew Hartig did most of the damage at the plate: Poulakis went 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs, while Hartig went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Hartig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asa Windham, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Pinewood Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pinewood Prep's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Pinewood Prep will face off against Bridges Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against St. John's at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
