Softball Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Newark fell victim to Bloomfield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bombers, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Reds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bloomfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

While Newark had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
