AA District 7 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Signal Mountain extended the longest winning streak in AA District 7 this week by beating Polk County, 28-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Eagles.
Sequatchie County took down Whitwell 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Grundy County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Yellowjackets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Josh Rhea has thrown for 832 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Hayden Holland has 31 catches for 500 yards. Rhea also leads the league in rushing with 447 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on Notre Dame. As it stands, Sequatchie County is in fifth, while the Fighting Irish are in first.
Chad Barger's team led AA District 7 in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Tigers.
