Basketball Recap: Beth Tfiloh Takes a Loss

Beth Tfiloh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres on the road by a 60-45 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-68 last Tuesday.

Garret Hemingway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sts. Peter & Paul, putting up 32 points. Hemingway's evening made it 25 games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Porter Bishop, who posted seven points.

Beth Tfiloh's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beth Tfiloh will host Key at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Key is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Sts. Peter & Paul, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jemicy at 5:30 p.m.
