Basketball Recap: Caleb Purcell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tiverton over Rogers

Tiverton lost against Rogers back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tiverton Tigers fell 49-40 to the Rogers Vikings.

Tiverton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Purcell, who posted nine points.

Tiverton dropped their record down to 2-16-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Rogers, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tiverton will host Cranston West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rogers has already played their next match (against Juanita Sanchez Complex), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
