Baseball Recap: Ukiah Takes a Loss

Ukiah fell victim to Cardinal Newman and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ukiah has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cardinal Newman, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
