Recap: Lima Christian Saints vs. Rochester Prep Tigers
The Lima Christian Saints put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 40-31 win over Rochester Prep. Given Lima Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Rochester Prep is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alyssa Marsh was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with four steals. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lily Herring, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Lima Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Rochester Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Lima Christian will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Jasper-Troupsburg at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. Rochester Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
