Softball Recap: Taft School Big Red vs. Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans
Taft School had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-7 to make it six. They came up short against the Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans, falling 20-1. The Big Red were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pelicans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2015.
As for Loomis Chaffee School, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. Considering they have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Loomis Chaffee School's part, Victoria Budarz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Budarz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
