Soccer Recap: Avalon Takes a Loss

Avalon was the 3-2 winner over Southlands Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. Avalon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Avalon's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 1-5-1. As for Southlands Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-8 record.

Avalon wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 defeat against Santa Fe on the 10th. As for Southlands Christian, they will challenge Fairmont Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
