Elizabeth has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sierra recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cardinals will look to defend their home field against the Stallions at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Elizabeth has six straight victories, Sierra has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Elizabeth's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Mitchell. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Brody Aldridge and Jeremy Waymire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Aldridge pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Waymire pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Aldridge went 1-for-2 with one run and one double, while Waymire went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cole Robinson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Elizabeth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Sierra played against Ellicott on Monday and lost via forfeit.
Elizabeth's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
Elizabeth took their victory against Sierra in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
