Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. DSST: Montview

The Kennedy Commanders will challenge the DSST: Montview Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Kennedy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Littleton on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, DSST: Montview waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 10-0 shutout. The Knights' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

DSST: Montview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
