Softball Preview: Pittsfield Saukees vs. Seymour Indians
The Pittsfield Saukees are taking a road trip to square off against the Seymour Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pittsfield had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Routt Catholic on Wednesday. The Saukees blew past the Rockets 17-1. The Saukees haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

In other batting news, Josie McClintock was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Dippel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Pittsfield hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
