Soccer Recap: Independence Has No Trouble Against Trinity

Independence played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past the Trinity Trojans 7-1. Considering Independence have won four games by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Independence back to even at 6-6. As for Trinity, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Independence will challenge Wickliffe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence will be up against Wickliffe's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.9 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Trinity, they will be playing at home against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairview will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Trinity surely won't give up without a fight.
