Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage lost against Wakefield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Heritage lost 11-2 to Wakefield. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Claudio, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base was Claudio's first of the season. Sam Langdon was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Wakefield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Heritage and Wakefield will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Heritage sees the field they'll take on Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Wakefield, their break will end when they face Knightdale at 5:00 p.m. on April 8.
