Volleyball Recap: Gladstone Takes a Loss

Gladstone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Molalla Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Gladstone was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Molalla's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-9, 25-16.

Gladstone's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Molalla, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Gladstone and Molalla could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Gladiators will challenge Pendleton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (240 vs. 27). Meanwhile, Molalla (ranked 183rd) will meet The Dalles (ranked 42nd) at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
