Recap: Bellefonte Raiders vs. Huntingdon Bearcats
The Bellefonte Raiders can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over Huntingdon. This was payback for Bellefonte, who suffered a 36-12 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bellefonte can attribute much of their success to Liam Halterman, who threw for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Bellefonte's win bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Huntingdon, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellefonte will take on Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerset is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Huntingdon, they will play host again and welcome Westmont Hilltop, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Westmont Hilltop is ranked 389th, while Huntingdon is ranked 402nd).
