The Franklin Central Flashes waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Greenfield-Central. That's another feather in the cap for Franklin Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Franklin Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Duvall led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Duvall is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carys Wilson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Franklin Central's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7. As for Greenfield-Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Franklin Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Plainfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday. As for Greenfield-Central, they will head out on the road to take on Muncie Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Muncie Central has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
