Basketball Recap: Jesalyn Howard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Pisgah Christian Academy over First Baptist Academy

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy was the 54-39 winner over First Baptist Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy lost 50-30 to First Baptist Academy on Friday. Mount Pisgah Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Mount Pisgah Christian Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesalyn Howard, who posted 13 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. Howard is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gracie Wilson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for First Baptist Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fairview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
