Baseball Recap: George Washington Wins Going Away Against Harrison

George Washington got themselves on the board against Harrison on Tuesday, but Harrison never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Luke Wiederholt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Henry Kuntner was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

George Washington has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Washington will take on Standley Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Harrison, they will face off against Pueblo Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
