Softball Game Preview: Jeanerette Tigers vs. Westgate Tigers

Jeanerette hasn't had much luck against Westgate recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Jeanerette will host Westgate at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jeanerette's offense. They lost 15-0 to Hanson Memorial on Tuesday.

Jeanerette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was London Provost, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westgate, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Comeaux with a sharp 15-5 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Mckenzie Harrison, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kensley Tauriac, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.

Jeanerette's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Westgate, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.
