Volleyball Recap: Mountainside Wolves vs. Trivium Prep Crimson Knights

Mountainside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights, falling 3-0. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crimson Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-16.

Brodie Blackstad paced Mountainside's offense, picking up 11 kills. Blackstad got some help from Sirena Rubio and her nine assists. Finally, Blackstad was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Trivium Prep had a senior duo take command as Meili Maurice had seven digs and seven aces and Ale Bank had six aces. Grace Brown also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Mountainside's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Trivium Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Mountainside nor Trivium Prep have any future games scheduled.
