Organ Mountain had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.2 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mayfield Trojans with a sharp 69-46 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Organ Mountain had a senior duo take command as Ray Venegas went 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points and Lenny Washington posted nine points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Venegas is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Ethan Pack was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points.

Organ Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mayfield only six assists.

Mayfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Troy Mancillas, who earned nine points. What's more, he posted two rebounds, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Samuel Biad, who put up ten points.

Organ Mountain's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.6 points. As for Mayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Organ Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mayfield, they will challenge Alamogordo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
