Volleyball Game Preview: Unity Christian Academy Phoenix vs. Islamic Foundation Chargers

Unity Christian Academy is 0-7 against Islamic Foundation since August of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Phoenix will challenge the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Unity Christian Academy beat Daystar Academy 2-0.

Unity Christian Academy never let Daystar Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Islamic Foundation waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since September 5th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Islamic Foundation got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 15-11.

Islamic Foundation's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Unity Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Unity Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Islamic Foundation in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Phoenix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
