Soccer Game Preview: South Florida HEAT vs. St. Johns Country Day

South Florida HEAT is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Westwood Christian a 5-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but South Florida HEAT sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day waltzed into their match on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the Christians with a sharp 7-0 win. Give the Spartans' defense some credit: that's the team's eighth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting University Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Reygan Ropero led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

St. Johns Country Day pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those ten contests. As for South Florida HEAT, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
