Football Game Preview: Fauquier Falcons vs. Skyline Hawks + How To Watch

The Fauquier Falcons will take on the Skyline Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fauquier is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fauquier and Culpeper County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The contest between the Falcons and the Blue Devils didn't end well, with the Falcons falling 31-15.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline faced off against Central Woodstock on Friday. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Falcons 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted against the Falcons since August 28, 2015.

The win made it two in a row for Skyline and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Fauquier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Fauquier might still be hurting after the 22-0 defeat they got from Skyline when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Hawks' Zayden Burks, who rushed for 199 yards and one score while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.
