Volleyball Recap: Griffin Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Griffin Academy can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the KIPP King Lions on Monday. The Griffins have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.

Judea Sepolen paced Griffin Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Sepolen got some help from Saharah Galvin and her nine assists. Talitha Laie controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Griffin Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for KIPP King, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Griffin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for KIPP King, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Aspire Richmond Ca. College Preparatory Academy on the 29th.
