Football Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern and Mayville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Northwestern had to settle for second. They fell 42-32 to the Cardinals. The Tigers gained 158 more yards on the day, but it was the Cardinals that made the best use of them.

Kamden Kroll threw for 210 yards and one TD on only 17 passes. Tysen Teal was his top target, picking up 107 receiving yards and one score.

Landen Baker was a one-man wrecking crew For Mayville. as he rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Mayville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

As of now, neither Northwestern nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
