Basketball Recap: Pickerington North Comes Up Short

Pickerington North was the 41-38 winner over Bloom-Carroll when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Josie Burr, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards for Bloom-Carroll. Those 13 rebounds gave Burr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Varga, who posted nine points.

Pickerington North's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Bloom-Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Pickerington North will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Watkins Memorial at 7:30 p.m. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will take on Linden-McKinley in a tournament on Thursday.
