McCallie and Baylor are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Blue Tornado will challenge the Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
McCallie came up short against Farragut on Saturday, falling 10-4. The Blue Tornado haven't had much luck with the Admirals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

McCallie got a good showing from Mason Carver, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Carver has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, McCallie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Stonecipher, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Baylor is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bowling Green. The Red Raiders blew past the Purples 13-3. Considering the Red Raiders have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Miller Brock looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Camden Cloud, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Blake Lundy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Baylor is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for McCallie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
McCallie couldn't quite finish off Baylor in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Blue Tornado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
