Widefield had won eight straight games and Isabella Monk did her part to make it nine on Thursday. The Widefield Gladiators were the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over the Harrison Panthers thanks to Monk, who went 9-for-19 on her way to 20 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Boomsliter, who posted six points. Those six points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Harrison still got an impressive performance from Nadia Turnipseed, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Widefield's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points over those games. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Widefield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-16 victory against Sierra on the 8th. As for Harrison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-24 win against Pueblo Central on the 8th.
