Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Haydin Froehlich and Avery Webb Lead Ponte Vedra to Victory

Ponte Vedra won the last time they faced Nease and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sharks blew past the Panthers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

Ponte Vedra was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-6, 25-20.

Ponte Vedra was led to victory by Avery Webb and Haydin Froehlich. Webb had 20 digs and three aces, while Froehlich hit 100% for seven kills and four digs, two blocks, and two aces. Froehlich has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last nine times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Ponte Vedra was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Ponte Vedra's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Nease, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Ponte Vedra will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nease, they will head out to challenge Creekside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
