Football Game Preview: Polytech Panthers vs. Red Lion Christian Academy Lions + How To Watch

The Polytech Panthers will square off against the Red Lion Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Polytech has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Red Lion Christian Academy will come in with six straight wins.

Polytech's last matchup with Odessa could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Panthers were beaten by the Ducks 49-12.

Meanwhile, Red Lion Christian Academy faced Delaware Military Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lions took their matchup with ease, bagging a 40-7 victory over the Seahawks. Considering the Lions have won six games by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Polytech better keep an eye on Judah Barber. He was instrumental in Red Lion Christian Academy's win, rushing for 172 yards and two scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Barber is now averaging an impressive 104.4 rushing yards per game.

Red Lion Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Red Lion Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Charles Broadard, Zion Spencer-Roberts, and Nathan Everett picked up one apiece. Spencer-Roberts also made six total tackles, which is notable because Red Lion Christian Academy is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Polytech's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Red Lion Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
