Basketball Recap: Desmynn Beavers-Smith Key Part of a Team Effort in Bruins Win

Browne lost to Cibola back in November of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Browne Bruins walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Cibola Raiders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Browne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Desmynn Beavers-Smith, who posted 15 points and six boards. Beavers-Smith is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Dee Shaw, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Browne was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Browne's record now sits at 9-12. As for Cibola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Browne is taking a road trip to square off against Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryvale will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Browne surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cibola, they will venture away from home to challenge Kofa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
