Game recap: Gordon Central High School Football Team wins against North Murray

CHATSWORTH, Ga. - Gordon Central (Calhoun, Ga.) jumped out to an early lead against North Murray (Chatsworth, Ga.) and never looked back on the way to a 50-26 victory on Saturday.

The Warriors scored 17 points in the first quarter. Gordon Central scored on a touchdown catch by Brian Brookshire, a touchdown catch by Chandler Curtis and a field goal.

GC was up 31-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown catch by Brookshire in the first quarter.

DJ Prather stood out for the Calhoun school in the win. The senior caught two touchdowns. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.



A 34-12 Gordon Central victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The loss comes after North Murray defeated Coahulla Creek 34-0 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for Gordon Central, which lost to Adairsville last week, 38-35.
