Softball Game Preview: Walnut Hills Eagles vs. St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs

The Walnut Hills Eagles will head out to square off against the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Hills hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Walnut Hills and Anderson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles lost 11-0 to the Raptors on Monday.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for St. Ursula Academy's offense. They fell 4-0 to Ursuline Academy last Monday. Considering the last time the Bulldogs couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

St. Ursula Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Schauer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Schauer's first of the season.

Walnut Hills' loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for St. Ursula Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Walnut Hills suffered a grim 25-10 defeat to St. Ursula Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
