Baseball Recap: Harvey Red Raiders vs. West Geauga Wolverines
After flying high against Cardinal on Tuesday, Harvey came back down to earth. The Red Raiders came up short against the West Geauga Wolverines on Friday, falling 11-3. The Red Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.
Harvey saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Valentin Palomino, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Palomino has launched this season. Another was Trent Hull, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Harvey now has a losing record of 4-5. As for West Geauga, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Looking ahead, Harvey is taking a road trip to face off against Harding at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Skippers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Red Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Geauga, they will challenge Cleveland Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
