Basketball Recap: Bear Creek Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Cedar Park Christian last Tuesday, Bear Creek came back down to earth. The Bear Creek Grizzlies took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King's Knights. The contest marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bear Creek still got an impressive performance from Caleb Branch, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 23 points. Branch has been hot, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Beiber, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Bear Creek's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for King's, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Bear Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-54 win against Olympic on the 11th. As for King's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-57 victory against Bush on the 11th.
